CARROL FUEL RE-ROOF
CURTIS BAY, MD
Carroll Fuels called us in 2021 to figure out why their metal building roof was leaking when it was supposedly covered in rubber. On our first inspection we found the rubber roof installed over the metal (never a good idea) to have been installed in a very shoddy manner with almost every skylight leaking, significantly impacting the productivity of the space below. We contracted to remove the entire assembly and replace with a new metal roof system and insulation to current code, while not impacting ongoing client operations, and the client couldn't be happier.
Why OMEGA was the right contractor for the job.
After several local roofing firms had tried and failed to repair the roof, it took Omega's decades of experience only an hour to assess the problem and develop the solution. We found what others didn't understand and knew exactly how to fix the problem, while not impacting the client.
What challenges was OMEGA faced with on this job?
To fix it properly, the entire roof down to the steel structure had to be removed, but the client could not vacate the space or shut down operations, so we adjusted our methodology to work in sequestered areas of the roof piece by piece which allowed the operations to remain ongoing, unimpacted, during construction efforts and a very cold winter. The owner lost no time, and we were complete in 7 weeks.
